Message?

As you know Wizzsim has not been updated for a while.

Basically I am getting married which has caused a great deal of stress for both myself and my partner, lets just put it this way it can only happen to us everything that can go wrong has and when I mean everything I mean our wedding planner, our cake maker, the venue, our DJ have all let us down, half the guest's cant come even though we gave a year in advanced notice. We now have just over a month too fix and sort out our wedding from complete disaster.

Getting Married is stressful enough but when everything goes wrong so near to the wedding the stress is almost unbearable

Wizzsim will be updated in due cause but I wanted to explain why and now you know.

FS2002/FS2004 Boulton Paul Sea Balliol T.21. The sexy Boulton Paul Balliol was conceived to meet a U.K. Air Ministry specification that was drawn up in 1946 for a three-seat turboprop trainer. The U.K. version equipped the RAF's flying schools until the mid 1950s, when the RAF decided to emphasise jet trainers. Some 30 Balliols were converted to Sea Balliols and served with No. 781 Squadron of the Fleet Air Arm. By Kazunori Ito.

  • Just Flight - Update To 146 Professional for X-Plane

146 Professional X-Plane Update: Key news for those waiting on the custom FMC. The upcoming v1.2 update will include a variety of fixes and changes, including further improvements to the TMS, but most importantly it introduces a several new navigation options to choose from! In addition to the existing X-Plane 11 FMC, you will now be able to choose from custom UFMC (complete with LNAV/VNAV autopilot integration and performance calculations), the always-popular RealityXP GTN or nothing - for those of you who prefer the classic VOR and NDB navigation for which the 146 was originally designed. • Skyline Simulation Update On Samos For X-Plane

We are there, at last! Samos International Aiport "Aristarhos of Samos" (LGSM), one of our most anticipated works, is ready and TOMORROW is the day! Get ready to challenge yourself with one of the most dangerous airports in the world! Even though its little size, this scenery was challenging to create, cause of the many changes that took place on the real airport, since the time we finished the 3D model. We kept finding things to add or to change, cause of the limited footage we managed to get in our hands, of how the real airport looks like nowadays and this justifies the delay! But we think our team did a really good job in every aspect, for the X-Plane 11 standards! In other news: X-Plane 11: Secret Project: Well... It's a secret! Ok! Hint: Greece! Again! Gibraltar (LXGB): It's going to receive an update really soon, fixing some bugs and adding various buildings and misc. This update is almost ready! MSFS: Secret Project comes to MSFS also! KCVG in the making! P3D/FSX: Currently looking for the right external partnership, in regards of revamping and updating our current sceneries. When we have something more to announce, we will. Bare with us! Once again, Happy New Year, everyone! Let's hope for a better 2021! Thank you! The Skyline TeamSource
  • FS2Crew - Update on Pushback Express For MSFS

We're adding some voice commands to Pushback Express for MSFS to control the ground service vehicles via voice. There are also some pretty good improvements coming to Pushback Express shortly so it matches up with the upcoming Fly By Wire A32NX Project version. One cool thing is we figured out a way to increase the resolution so the app looks 10 times more sharp and crisp now, so the UI is drastically prettier. We also added night lighting and an opacity slider and there's some other nice stuff to make PBE more realistic, too. At any rate, if you're a native French speaker, can you please translate these to speech commands to French for us please. This way you can issue the commands in your language in PBE. We're supporting native English, French, German and Spanish (those are the speech languages supported speech recognition in Windows). En francais svp... • MSFS Local Legend V: Beechcraft Model 18 Released

The Microsoft Flight Simulator team is thrilled to announce our latest release in the Local Legends family: the Beechcraft Model 18! One of the great classics of the sky, the Model 18 is a twin-engine, low-wing monoplane that lifted off on its maiden flight in January of 1937 and then took the aviation world by storm. Frequently called the “Twin Beech” or, less commonly, the “Beech 18,” the aircraft is crewed by two and seats six passengers in typical configurations. The Model 18 is one of the most successful airframes ever developed due to its power, range, ruggedness, and broad-spectrum utility. More than 9,000 were produced during a continuous manufacturing run that lasted from 1937 to 1979, one of the longest in the history of aviation. Not just a workhorse, the Model 18 is also an iconic beauty, a ruggedly attractive machine that looks great from any angle, especially in the air. Recreated in exquisite detail by Carenado, Microsoft Flight Simulator’s Local Legend V: Beechcraft Model 18 is ready today for sim aviators to pilot throughout the Flight Simulator world! After the 1933 debut of their successful Model 17 “Staggerwing” biplane, Beechcraft conceived of an aircraft to fulfill a wide range of needs with an emphasis on the business and burgeoning commuter airline sector. The design that would become the legendary Model 18 comprised metal construction, a twin vertical stabilizer empennage, and a standard undercarriage that could accommodate floats, amphibious floats, or even skis. Powered by two burly Pratt & Whitney “Wasp Junior” radial engines, engineers reasoned the aircraft could undertake a broad range of missions throughout all types of operating conditions. The Model 18 has proven to be one of the most versatile and most robust aircraft ever manufactured. With power to spare thanks to its two muscular radial engines, the Twin Beech has served needs that include passenger and cargo service, business and executive transport, scientific, fire suppression, and mapping, among others. During the Second World War, more than 4,500 of the aircraft were used for the war effort, being used by the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army Air Forces, and a number of allied nations. It performed tasks that included forward observation, reconnaissance, bombing, and a wide variety of training mission types. Subsequent to World War II, the Model 18’s excellent short field performance, reliability, and capaciousness made it a favorite with Air America in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Today, despite its age, the Model 18 serves in more than a dozen countries throughout the world, a testament to its solid design and rugged construction. The Model 18 features a slightly-swept main wing with a span of 47 feet, 8 inches, a traditional undercarriage, and a twin-fin empennage that consists of a horizontal stabilizer and two vertical stabilizers. It is powered by two wing-mounted Pratt & Whitney R-985-AN-1 Wasp Junior 9-cylinder radial engines that each produce up to 450 horsepower. The Beech 18 has a range of 1,130 miles, climbs at 1,200 feet per minute, and has a service ceiling of 20,500 feet above sea level. It cruises at 211 miles per hour, stalls at 77 mph, and has a top speed of 230. The Beechcraft Model 18 is ready to take to the skies in the awesome digital-double world of Microsoft Flight Simulator now! The package includes ten liveries, a historic Navy, Aviator’s Club, Xbox Aviator’s Club, and seven civil variations. Local Legend V: Beechcraft Model 18 is available for both PC and Xbox for USD $14.99 in the in-sim marketplace. Purchase it now and roar through the skies in one of the great standouts of aviation!   Source

  • IVAO Virtual Sky Software Roadmap

Dear IVAO Family, For some time it has been the Network's wish to be able to provide you with transparent and regular updates of our plans for, and the progression, of IVAO's infrastructure and software/web systems. Following a restructure of the Development Operations Department we were able to appoint new Directors and Team Managers. Yannick and Frederico have assumed the positions of Director and Assistant Director respectively. The main focus of their first two weeks was to meet with the new Team Managers and finalise a roadmap for our infrastructure and software/web systems, changing the landscape in around 12 months. The aim is to provide you with updates every 3 months, on what to expect to be released during that period and an update on what has happened since the previous quarter. So, without further ado, here goes… What is planned for Q1 of 2022? World Servers It is no hidden fact that our current SHARD servers do not have the capability to withstand a tremendous amount of connections to IVAO. December of last year saw a deficiency during the Crowded Skies event that meant we were unable to achieve the figures we had wished. The reasoning behind this issue is that IVAO has no ownership to develop the current source code of the SHARD servers. Our dedicated Developers have now created our own servers, called ‘World Servers’, that will enable better stability, more connections and lay the foundations to be able to implement more enhanced features in the future. The World Server will be cross compatible on release with the latest versions of IvAc, IvAp, Altitude and Aurora but the introduction of new features, later in the year, will see support for IvAc and IvAp versions closed at a later date. The project is under Alpha testing at the moment and is due for release, to all members, by the end of March. Aurora for Windows Aurora was responsible for 85% of ATC connections in December 2021, being the most popular of the ATC clients compatible with IVAO. We will shortly be releasing our ALPHA version, currently used by IVAO Staff, as the latest available BETA to all members after which we will not be implementing any new features to Aurora for Windows, instead focusing on stabilizing this latest BETA to remove any existing bugs and eradicate crashes. Anyone who does have an issue with Aurora for Windows should contact our friendly User Support Team by speaking one-on-one with them on the Family Discord, posting in the forum or by emailing devops@ivao.aero where a member of the team will gladly assist. Aurora for Mac/Linux It goes without saying that Aurora for Linux and Mac has been a calling for some time now, we are pleased to advise that Aurora for Mac/Linux is being actively developed to achieve the same key aspects of Aurora for Windows. The project is under development and expected for a network BETA release by August. Voice ATIS A new feature for IVAO, the Network will see the introduction of Voice ATIS continue its development. Voice ATIS will enable Pilots to be able to get the latest weather, runway and other ATIS information for their departure and arrival airports. Voice ATIS will only be compatible with IVAO’s latest offering of software, meaning it will only be received by Pilots using Altitude and only transmitted by Controllers who are using Aurora. The project is under development and expected for a network release by June. What is left to come for the rest of 2022? IVAO has much more to offer to it’s Family in 2022. Deemed “the year of change” by the Senior Leadership Team, we aim to see the departure of TeamSpeak 2 forever and the smooth landing of our new voice systems including Voice UNICOM. We hope to provide you with further updates in April, July and October to discuss progression and discuss the next steps. Source

  • Parallel 42 Announces Mexican Mountain Campout Scene

Parallel 42 has announced a new scenery under development for MSFS 2020. They describe it as your home base for bush flying in Utah, Mexican Mountain (42MX). This is a small (1900 foot long) and challenging runway with difficult approaches, but lots of parking and custom details around the field itself. It's been a busy month since the release of the Low N’ Slow Fox2 variant in our previous update! In fact, anyone with a keen eye would have picked up a hint of what’s to come in the final image of that post. The //42 Scenes department has been busy at work with the newest addition to perfectly placed hubs in the popular bush camping hot spots. For our next release, we provide you with a home base for bush flying in Green River, Utah, welcome to Mexican Mountain (42MX)! Our goal with these scenes is to continue bringing value to your time flying FF/F2. Busplane Campout (42BC) and Mexican Mountain (42MX) are built to serve as hubs for available smaller campouts that will surround them. They have been designed with plenty of parking and camping areas to stage up for your multiplayer adventures. Mexican Mountain (42MX) We were lucky enough to work with real bush pilots in the region and were provided with amazing drone footage for reference material in the construction of this strip. Located in Green River, Utah, the region features brightly colored cliffs, buttes, ridges, alcoves, and pinnacles that dominate the landscape with elevations ranging from 4,700 feet in the southeast to 6,900 feet on Mexican Mountain. In comparison to many other mountains, Mexican Mountain truly is…out there, the views are tremendous, & you’ll have plenty of places to practice STOL landings nearby and you’re a short hop away from Moab. Features Runway: 1900 ft long x 40 ft wide dirt runway. Slopes uphill slightly to the west. Approach Considerations: Tall trees on both sides of the runway present a hazard when landing to the east. Typically land to the west and depart to the east. Caution RC plane in the vicinity. Amenities: Campgrounds and fire rings. Please don’t leave food out, bears were reported in the area. Windsock: Yes. Located east of the runway, next to the information sign. Multiple runway objects and hazards contain collision boxes. (Careful tail spinners!) Custom created vegetation assets Plenty of parking for group flight staging Custom night lighting in camp areas Custom Soundscapes throughout the scene, explore with a drone! Custom RC Plane mini-scene Heatblur effects on fire pits Centrally located for bush trip adventures Source

The project introduces several assisting-features for the RC pilot in X-Plane, for optimum convenience and operations, both for 2-d and VR modes. The project will introduce the world of RC helicopters (Turbine powered specifically), with detailed illustrations, instructions and useful information for the beginner and expert enthusiasts. Flying RC model helicopters is...challenging...however it is one of the most rewarding activities both in real-world and in a simulator. Stay tuned for more showcasing/show-off videos.   Source

Stability Several crashes have been fixed across the title More optimization work has been performed including performance issue with Real-time AirTraffic after a long period of time Improvements of the installation logic for outdated / missing packages Navigation New AIRAC cycle 2110 is now available Improvements on offset localizer/LDA approaches for the Navdata Updated the in-sim Magnetic Variation model Fixed ATC announcing a DME Arc approach with 10 times the radius Separated different airways with the same name in the Navdata Fixed cases of corruption in Title and Descr fields in flight plans Weather Activated gust tweaking in custom weather settings Ambient pressure is now smoothly calculated across the entire air column Improved ATIS Cloud layer reporting VR Fixed aliased menus and ingame panels Fixed some lighting issues in VR Fixed wrong camera initial rotation in some cockpit Fixed "dot" cursor when using the mouse Fixed mouse cursor depth when hovering the toolbar Improved general stability in VR mode Activity Fixed Friends status as offline friends were still marked as online Better handling of edge cases when loading save files Fixed Balkan bushtrip which could not be completed due to missing airport Fixed conversion error in POH takeoff speeds in the Flight assistant panel Fixed issue where the altitude displayed on the nameplates was incorrect Fixed VFRMap icons disappearing during bushtrips Fixed bug causing the female voice to be heard instead of MALE voice in the Deadstick Landing tutorial Fixed ICAOs on main path disappearing from the VFR map after resizing it Planes General: Fixed a bug that prevented Live/AI aircrafts lights from showing Reduced the effect of clouds water density on air density (source of drag when flying through clouds) by a factor of 10x Altimeter reading should now properly coincide mathematically with atmosphere ambient pressure Fixed physical altimeters so they can now display different values Fixed UseTemplateValue put inside an Action for custom checklists Corrected issue that would cause trim keys to start repeating instantly when held down Fixed shared large cameras for hangar sequences so they no longer display the ground only Analogic external HUD now supports negative altitude values as the interior instruments Reworked gear advisory audio warning system for floating planes Improved water rudder and water handling at low speeds. Plane now turns into the wind Increased aerobatic max rotation speed and acceleration which improves aerobatic handling Improved auto rudder assistance crosswind cancellation to make it smooth over 0 to 500ft, instead of brutal on/off on takeoff Improved pfactor for tail dragger airplanes Improved free full castering for tail dragger airplanes Removed backward limitation for flap lift center displacement. (Effect on lift center and Cm) Added system to precisely define lift center motion across ranges of AOA Fixed a bug with the spoiler/speedbrake lever animation not being in the correct position when using an external device to control it Fixed a bug with external devices AP keys not doing exactly what they should on some aircraft Fixed some camera issues with aerobatics: Inverted flight camera transition between normal & inverted flight and fast rolls behavior in 3rd person view Fixed issue where Waypoint generated on WorldMap were not flown along by the Autopilot Fixed existing flyback issue on KLCT KBVT flight Reference QNH can now be changed during flight Autopilot will no longer automatically transition to altitude capture when in avionics managed mode Fixed corrupted VFR & PFD 2D Terrain in some cases Corrected an issue that would cause the trim keys to behave incorrectly when used on a plane which has a trim switch but no trim wheel Fixed the altimeter not displaying the correct altitude at the start of a flight (especially in some missions) Made reverse flight transition smoother so that one can take 90A_ turns or a bit more than 90° without weird roll transitions Connected all the transponders from the base sim to the new transponder IDENT simvar Added a link an Ident and a type to the radio frequency. Ident is ICAO code. Type is one of the following: ATIS,UNI, CTAF, GND, TWR, CLR, APPR, DEP, FSS, AWS, Blank Fixed custom airports are displayed twice on navigation instruments More...
