Message?

As you know Wizzsim has not been updated for a while.

Basically I am getting married which has caused a great deal of stress for both myself and my partner, lets just put it this way it can only happen to us everything that can go wrong has and when I mean everything I mean our wedding planner, our cake maker, the venue, our DJ have all let us down, half the guest's cant come even though we gave a year in advanced notice. We now have just over a month too fix and sort out our wedding from complete disaster.

Getting Married is stressful enough but when everything goes wrong so near to the wedding the stress is almost unbearable

Wizzsim will be updated in due cause but I wanted to explain why and now you know.

FSX Douglas FSX Douglas O-46

FSX Douglas O-46. The Douglas O46 was the last of a long line of Douglas Obsevation aircraft designed for the USAAC. It first entered service in 1937. This is an FSX Acceleration native model. It has the usual animations, reflective glass, working cowl flaps, some bump maps and .dds textures. The 2D panel and VC are based on panels of similar craft of the same era. The VC has working instruments and animated flight controls. By Paul Clawson.

  • iFly Releases SP1 for the Advanced Series 737NG

Fly Development Team has officially released Service Pack 1 for their new iFly Jets Advanced Series - The 737NG. iFly has corrected a few issues that were reported after release and implemented some new items based on customer feedback. The Prepar3D team designed a new HUD draw technique specific to Prepar3D version 5.3. that iFly has implemented. The HUD will not work on any Prepar3D version prior to 5.3. You will now find a new Livery Download and Installation tool (GetLiveries desktop shortcut) that will make the task more automatic and streamlined. This tool will install liveries uploaded to the Flight 1 Library (http://library.flight1.net/) but is also able to do manual installations, provided the painter(s) follow the required guidelines as described in the Paint-kit "Instructions ReadMe.pdf". You can get the paint kit here: https://flight1.100megabyte.com/iFly-737NGadv-BP-P3Dv5-PaintKit.zip There is now also an option in the Configuration tool that allows you to have Ground Power connected in the "Cold and Dark" state. This allows you to enter the cockpit at the gate with Ground Power already connected. It also helps VR users so they do not need to open 2D drop down menus. This option is enabled per installed Livery. You can now keep the aircraft sound unmuted when Prepar3D loses focus. List of corrected and new items: DU/CDU Fonts updated. • Captain Sim Recruiting 777 Repainters

Our 773 for MSFS 2020 is available in the MS Marketplace for Xbox users. The 777F is coming soon. But the problem is, Xbox people technically cannot add any free liveries from the Internet. So our plan is to include a set of 10 popular liveries of the 773 and the 777F into their MS Marketplace. Same as we did for the 772. If any of the painters of the 773/777F liveries listed at https://www.captainsim.org/liveries/m777.php wish their liveries to appear in the Xbox world, please drop us a line via https://www.captainsim.com/cgi-bin/contact.pl Source
  • Just Flight News On MSFS Hawk T1/A

We're proud to present the Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer for MSFS is now part of the in development section on our web site along with the first development diary entry. Dev work well underway, don't forget to sign up for email notification on release! Following on from award-winning military add-ons in Flight Simulator X, Prepar3D, X-Plane 11 and Aerofly, this highly detailed simulation of the Hawk has been developed by Just Flight's in-house development team after hands-on research with a real-life ex-RAF and ETPS Hawk T1. Already a very popular aircraft on other platforms, we are exciting to bring you this incredibly detailed rendition of the Hawk T1, complete with realistic wear and tear, realistic systems, T1/T1A and weapons trainer configurations, and RAF Red Arrows display team paint scheme. In addition to our first GA aircraft for MSFS our internal Dev team are beginning to perfect the art of multi-tasking in a bid to bring a varied mix of genres early on to MSFS. So here you get your first look at the Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer in MSFS. Exterior and interior modelling and texturing is pretty much complete pending the usual tweaking stage during testing. The coding side has barely started, so this initial update focuses on just the 'visuals', but we do expect coding to progress fairly quickly over the next month or two. Stay tuned for more updates and in the meantime we hope these initial shots have served to whet the appetite. MSFS News! Stairport Sceneries have shown off some more WIP images of Wasserkuppe for MSFS 2020. They report they are now only a few weeks from release of this German gliding center. The gliding center on the Wasserkuppe includes the oldest gliding school in the world, a paragliding school, the German glider museum and the Wasserkuppe airfield for gliders and powered aircraft, which is used by the four resident glider clubs and the Wasserkuppe flying school. While on the eastern part of the airfield with the 670-meter asphalt track powered aircraft, motor gliders and gliders in aerotow start is the western part above the road, the so-called "World Sailor", the wind grid position of the glider. • Flightbeam Studios Updates KDEN For MSFS

KDEN has been updated to version 1.4, bringing some significant changes to the airport. Being an MSFS launch addon, KDEN went through some growing pains with the brand new simulator. The most significant challenge was incorporating the drastic terrain at the airport into the sim. At launch, MSFS's SDK was very limited in regards to terraforming capabilities. This resulted in many taxiways and even runways being a bit too steep.. and some taxiways having some rough edges. Since then, many new SDK updates have been developed and the airport is now much, much smoother for your taxiing, takeoff and landing adventures. There has been many other improvements as well, such as some targeted areas getting custom ortho imagery and better blending with models. Changelog Significant revamp of the terrain system, fixes to flatten bumps and various taxiway issues Custom ortho imagery for better blending Added various custom objects in airport perimeter Many fixes to models and textures for improved visuals Fixed terrain for track tunneling Custom ILS navaids Source
  • Aeroplane Heaven Video Showcases Spitfire Mk1A MSFS

A new video and exciting news on the Spitfire Mk1A. Recently, we were contacted by IntoTheBlue video productions with a request to make a preview video of the Spitfire Mk1A. Naturally, we agreed and we have here, a link to the video. Now, this is not a review as the video was made earlier in the development with more features and changes to come. However, what it is is a delightful romp through the Lake District in England and we especially liked the airfield beat-up at the end and of course, the very best of Elgar to accompany the pictures.     The exciting news is about our collaboration with Authentikit who have designed a set of unique simulator controls especially for the Mk1A Spitfire. These kits are amazingly well-designed and are a very cost-effective way of getting a bespoke set of replica Spitfire flight controls for a very small outlay. The video shows you how to go about getting a kit, how to assemble the components and next steps. The Authentikit controls are well-worth checking out.    Source

  • Aeroplane Heaven DC-3 C-47 Latest Update

We are making this post in an attempt to halt the amount of requests/demands for updates on this release. We need to clarify a few points. 1) No, it has not been cancelled. 2) We are waiting on flight modelling which is being programmed out-of-house using significant flight test data from the period. This takes time and a lot of effort, given that the goalposts keep moving with continual upgrades to the sim. 3) When we have the fight model we can get the sounds finalised which are being professionally engineered, again, out-of-house. We have received many requests for release dates which we just cannot estimate - there is no point - we are in the hands of professional suppliers. The number of suppliers in this field has shrunk considerably since the introduction of MSFS and they are all extremely busy. We would appreciate that people give us due patience as we attempt to produce this important addition to the very best of our ability. Yes it has taken a little over a year so far which is nothing compared to a few other productions going on elsewhere. More importantly, we would also appreciate a halt to the abusive, insulting mails and comments we have been getting. We have done no-one harm or taken money. We have simply taken time to get this one right. We do NOT deserve the vitriolic abuse we have been subjected to by "school-kids" who want their toys now. We will continue to release updates and further information on the DC-3 build and its release as appropriate. Source
  • Just Flight PA-28R Preview Video MSFS

Here's another work in progress video of our PA-28R Arrow III (for MSFS) showing off the latest build - model, textures, door/cockpit/gear animations, engine and some custom sounds (although they are WIP), EFB functions and some other avionics, engine start sequence and cockpit night lighting. Note the FDE and custom sounds are all WIP at this stage, will be updated soon and certainly prior to release.
  • IndiaFoxtEcho - Update On F-35 CTDs

We have been working hard for the past few weeks to try and understand the reason why so many users are experiencing CTDs of the F-35. As far as we can tell, the problem is generated by the custom HUD/HMD JavaScript/HTML5 code. Why this happens on some machines, and not on others is still a mystery. We have created a new HUD/HMD basing it on the Super Hornet one from Asobo - early tests seem to indicate that may solve the problems for all the users who had frequent CTDs with the F-35. The current opt-in (more accurate for the F-35) will be still available as "opt-in" for users who want it. We will be working the whole weekend to try and deploy the new build as soon as possible. If it is confirmed to be more stable for a larger user base we will release it for the Marketplace. The new build will also bring several small improvements and bug-fixes, along with new repaints and the much requested downwash effects for the F-35B. Source
  • IndiaFoxtEcho Update On DCS MB-339

The DCS MB-339 is coming... we do not have a release date yet but we are in the process of DCS integration and testing, and we are still adding some features. We hope it will be the most complete and realistic rendition of this aircraft available on a home computer. Source
