microsoft has announced that an additional default aircraft will be coming to microsoft flight simulator in 2022, the ATR 42-600 / ATR 72-600. They are working with Aerosoft on the aircraft and have included a couple of screen shots along with the announcement.
We are working with Aerosoft to bring you ATR aircraft and can't wait to share updates.
The ATR 42 is a regional airliner produced by ATR, with final assembly in Toulouse, France. On 4 November 1981, the aircraft was launched with ATR, as a joint venture between French Aerospatiale (now Airbus) and Aeritalia (now Leonardo S.p.A.).
The ATR 72 is a twin-engine turboprop, short-haul regional airliner developed and produced in France and Italy by aircraft manufacturer ATR, a joint venture formed by French aerospace company Aerospatiale (now Airbus) and Italian aviation conglomerate Aeritalia (now Leonardo S.p.A.). The number "72" in its name is derived from the aircraft's standard seating configuration in a passenger-carrying configuration, which could seat 72-78 passengers in a single-class arrangement.
The microsoft flight simulator team announces the release of World Update IV - France/Benelux. This includes a huge list of POI (points of interest) and lots of additional details brought to this portion of western Europe.
In the heart of Western Europe, embrace the spirit of another age intermingled with modern influences and sensibilities as you explore a wealth of sights on display - from seaside communities to urban centers, idyllic vineyards to epic mountain ranges and world-famous resort towns — all of which now feature stunning upgrades and visual enhancements.
IndiaFoxtEcho has announced an update to their MB-339 for MSFS 2020. In preparation for World Update IV they had to update all their microsoft flight simulator aircraft and also took this chance to fix a couple of minor problems with the MB-339.
In preparation of World Update IV, we had to update all of our MSFS aircraft to include new localization files provided by microsoft . We took the chance to fix a couple of minor mistakes in the MB-339, so a new update has just been released to our distributors.
The Long-EZ and the T-45C will have the additional localization files needed for the Marketplace, but no other changes.
Speaking of the Marketplace, we understand that the MB-339 update was not yet released by microsoft - our apologies, but that is beyond or control. We will try and push for a quick release, but ultimately it is up to microsoft .
Also, we have received no News of an official solution to the T-45 update freezing during download or decompression, although deleting the T-45 folder from the Official\OneStore folder and redownloading the package seems to work for most users.
In the Aerosoft forums, a preview of the next MSFS 2020 scenery from Stairport has recently been published. They are reported to be working on EGTP Perranporth Airfield, located in Cornwall, UK. Originally a WWII RAF fighter station, it's now a GA airport run by the Perranporth Flying Club though some of the original WWII base features can still be seen.
