As you know Wizzsim has not been updated for a while.


Basically I am getting married which has caused a great deal of stress for both myself and my partner, lets just put it this way it can only happen to us everything that can go wrong has and when I mean everything I mean our wedding planner, our cake maker, the venue, our DJ have all let us down, half the guest's cant come even though we gave a year in advanced notice. We now have just over a month too fix and sort out our wedding from complete disaster. 


Getting Married is stressful enough but when everything goes wrong so near to the wedding the stress is almost unbearable

  • Aerosoft Starts Discussion For Next Airbus Project

    I would like to start some discussion about what Airbus we will do after the A330. There are a few options: Add more versions (engines, etc.) of the A330. Add the Neo version of the A330. While interesting for the high end simmers, commercially this is not very interesting because while for P3D all customers were 'high-end' simmers, the same is most certainly not true for the current customer base. To put it bluntly, adding different engine options for the A330 simply will only add a few percentages in sales (just as it did for P3D btw). The Neo is slightly more attractive, but still marginally. A318/A319 A320/A321 The obvious choice. Now to be clear we do not consider Fenix etc to be an important factor. Not only because they obviously aim for a different kind of product (they want to simulate the aircraft, we want to simulate the job of being a pilot), but mainly because they do not make a MSFS product, but just a software bridge between existing software and the sim. This makes sales on Marketplace impossible. As that is simply the biggest sales channel (with a large margin), disregarding that is simply not a good idea for us. I am sure many people here will say I am out of my mind, but I got sales reports, right? My job is to produce products that make money and the market is simply totally different. However, what our friends of at FBW are doing is kick-ass stuff for the A320. Now we have different ideas, do not use Javascript and HTML (that have some serious drawbacks in performance) and again simply want to do a different project focused on the crew where the aircraft is just the tool. We have done so for ten years and it has served us very well. It does not always get the attention of the vocal community, but it simply has a larger potential audience. So doing the smaller Airbusses seems attractive. They always sold very well for us and inside our teams everybody would prefer to fly a 318 over an A321. A350 Forget it. There is simply no way anybody can get access to the tables needed to make a serious A350. While you can get those for the older Airbusses, even pilots do not have access to these tables and the only way to recreate them would be to experiment with a real aircraft. We got a lot of pilot friends, but they are simply not able to do 10 ascends to FL 200 with different engine settings and then repeat the same for a few different weights. The data is simply not there. A380 Commercially that aircraft is about as interesting to us as it is for airlines. What are your thoughts on what Airbus should be developed next?   • SimWorks Studios 2022 Roadmap

    As promised earlier, it is time to announce our 2022 roadmap! Keep in mind that this is the "best case scenario", issues can crop up and lead to things being pushed back due to various reasons. So let's begin! #1 priority is fixing our web site. The Kodiak's release stretched the limits of our web site beyond our expectations by approximately 5x. That means that we cannot release updates to the product, the floatplane or any other high-demand aircraft before migrating to a new server. Now that everyone is back, we are going through specifications and offers to be able to make an educated decision and migrate to a new server that should handle demand better. We want this to be done within January. #2 the RV-14: the art side is complete and code work is expected to be done any day now. The flight model is in a very good state. Sounds are here and at a very good stage, with fine tuning and AI being the last things due for this task. We are working towards a February release, barring any unforeseen problems. The RV-14 will be followed by the RV-10 later this year, with the RV-8 and RV-7 in late 2022 or early 2023. #3 the Kodiak: The flight model of the floatplane is progressing well and the wheeled variant is being touched up too. The only task left is to code the gear warning lights to function like the real thing and re-work the soundset for hydroplaning sounds. Both planes will be updated in parallel and be on par with regards to fixes and features. The Kodiak update and Floatplane release are tentatively scheduled for February. #4 Pilatus PC-12: We recently signed a licensing agreement with Pilatus Aircraft to bring their PC-12 to Microsoft Flight Simulator! Our current plan is to make two PC-12 releases: one will be the PC-12/47 which will come with a mixed glass/steam cockpit. Our goal is to have the aircraft out towards the middle of the year, built to the same standard as the Kodiak. The second would be the Pilatus PC-12NG with a fully-fledged custom glass cockpit, but due to the code work required, this is going to come in 2023. All our aircraft will benefit from gradual updates and improvements we will be doing to the Kodiaks, as we learn more about MSFS' SDK and work around its limitations. There are another two airframes that we are looking to bring into MSFS under our banner before and after the PC-12, but we will withhold their names until we are better prepared to reveal them.     We'd like to remind our users that all the features that have been previewed on Experimental over the past months are now available on the Development version. You can continue to use Experimental if you wish, but you should expect more bugs as we test some further improvements. For day-to-day flying, Development is recommended.     News Flash! The VSKYLABS 2021/2022 development road-map includes ONE of the famous US Lifting Body prototypes! The exact prototype model which is already under development will be posted in a dedicated news-flash later this year. Meanwhile, here is a short video, created more than 6(!) years ago using X-Plane 10 and one of the 1st VSKYLABS projects ever created for X-Plane: The VSKYLABS Northrop M2-F2. The project itself was initially developed for X-Plane 9 about 10(!) years ago...     Earlier this year, Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity spaceship completed the first-ever fully-crewed spaceflight.   • DC Designs Status On Their Aircraft Models

    So, one week on from the launch of Concorde, and it's time to talk about the future. First up is Concorde's second foundational update, v1.0.2, out today, which is to ensure that everything essential that needs correcting has been corrected, and most importantly that the in-game Interactive Checklist is 100% correct. This is so console users can follow an accurate A-B-C flight from start-up to shut-down without having to reference the manual. This is why Concorde was not released to the Marketplace at the same time as third-party stores - I knew that the Checklist would need refining first, because accessing the manual is not possible on the console, quite important when it's 100 pages long. Concorde has been submitted to the Marketplace for processing. Please don't ask when it will be released, Microsoft determines that so I don't know the answer. It turns out that the Xbox console cannot handle the same models as PC, so there are a few features missing at the moment (just passenger models and a shorter passenger cabin) until we can work out how to get them in without messing up performance on the consoles. The F-15 Eagle and F-14 Tomcat updates will follow next. These are both quite significant updates, especially the F-15 Eagles, so plenty to look forward to there. I'm hoping to have both completed and released by the end of April. For the rest of the year, there are some changes to my schedule. First, the bad news; due to recent events in Eastern Europe, I do not feel comfortable continuing with my SU-27 Flanker project. As a result, this has been shelved until further notice. I know there will be those who are unhappy about this, but it's my call and I won't be entering a debate about it with anybody. Now, the good news; the SU-27 will instead be replaced by an aircraft I know many are very keen to see in MSFS, the F4J Phantom. This version has been chosen as it also represents the UK's FGR2 variant, expanding the potential for liveries. The Phantom was secretly under development some months ago, but work halted when I learned that a fellow developer was keen to bring their Phantom to MSFS. However, I've since learned that they're working on a much earlier variant and it's not due for a very long time, so this doesn't clash much. The Phantom represents an immensely popular fighter jet that has a huge following in the aviation world. No dates set yet for it, but work will now continue apace alongside the other main projects. Therefore, my 2022 / early 2023 release schedule is currently: AV-8B Harrier II - Summer 2022 A-10C Thunderbolt II - Fall 2022 F-4J Phantom - TBD The P-61B Black Widow project will also continue ready for freeware release later this year if all goes well there, I work on it when I can.     Aeroplane Heaven have announced that not only is there a new patch now available for their P3D North American Rockwell Sabreliner, but that the model is also coming to MSFS: North American Rockwell Sabreliner Service Upgrade for P3DV4.5 and V5+ We have released a Service Upgrade for the Sabreliner. This upgrade addresses issues reported by some owners and revised materials and textures for better rendering in P3D v5.2.     Parallel 42 has announced a new scenery under development for MSFS 2020. They describe it as your home base for bush flying in Utah, Mexican Mountain (42MX). This is a small (1900 foot long) and challenging runway with difficult approaches, but lots of parking and custom details around the field itself. It's been a busy month since the release of the Low N’ Slow Fox2 variant in our previous update! In fact, anyone with a keen eye would have picked up a hint of what’s to come in the final image of that post. The //42 Scenes department has been busy at work with the newest addition to perfectly placed hubs in the popular bush camping hot spots. For our next release, we provide you with a home base for bush flying in Green River, Utah, welcome to Mexican Mountain (42MX)! Our goal with these scenes is to continue bringing value to your time flying FF/F2. Busplane Campout (42BC) and Mexican Mountain (42MX) are built to serve as hubs for available smaller campouts that will surround them.   • EA-7 Edgley Optica Released For MSFS 2020

    The EA-7 Edgley Optica is a British designed aircraft for low-speed, long-range observation work. With a similar cockpit to that of helicopters; the Optica offers a 270 degree panoramic view and almost vertical downward view. With a loiter speed of 81mph, around 40% power, the Optica's fuel tanks can allow for flying up to nearly 8 hours and has a range of over 650 miles. Memmingen Airport, also known as Allgau Airport Memmingen, is an international airport in the town of Memmingerberg near Memmingen, the third-largest city in the Swabia region of Bavaria. Memmingen Airport has an ILS Category 1 for runway 24 and is equipped with NDB/DME and GPS RNAV. Originally, the runway was only 30 metres (98 ft) wide with accordingly narrow taxiways due to its former use as a facility for jet fighter aircraft. However, an expansion to the international standard 45 metres (148 ft) had been granted in 2016 and was completed in September 2019. Source
